As the basis of aquaculture feed, fishmeal is perhaps the most used and applied ingredient in feed, certainly for aquaculture. It provides essential nutrients to farmed fish that are not available in other ingredients as a single package and is therefore the nutritional benchmark against which the performance of other feed ingredients is measured.
